Welcome

The Center for Mindfulness  is a unique service that seeks to bring the benefits of psychotherapy to a wide range of the public. The Center for Mindfulness is located in Boston, Ma.  We consider the center an established counseling service that provides individuals with an affordable and confidential opportunity to establish a relationship with a trained psychotherapist.

Psychotherapy

Many individuals would like to participate in some sort of therapy, but for numerous reasons do not.  It is only those who actually find a therapist, then actually start the process of psychotherapy who can benefit from the results of a professional relationship.  Interaction is the key to healing.

Research shows that the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the client has a greater influence on client success than the specific type of psychotherapy used by the therapist (Saul Rosenzweig, 1936). Accordingly, most contemporary schools of psychotherapy focus on the healing power of the therapeutic relationship.

It is our belief that the relationship between therapist and client is the most powerful aspect of the healing process.  "Stay in the Moment" is the mantra during sessions and discussions.  By staying in the moment and becoming mindful of your experience, thoughts and behaviors connect along with the natural ability to become aware of one's own emotions, thoughts and reasons for behavior.
